Nach dem Spendenquilt ist vor dem Spendenquilt. Hexieparty ist ja fast fertig, da darf man ruhig schon ans nächste Projekt denken. Diesmal war da zuerst der Name, Brezelparty. Es wird ein neuer Spenden Quilt mit Hilfe vieler Helferinnen entstehen, vielleicht wollt ihr auch mitmachen?
Ich bin auch nicht ganz alleine daran Schuld, Ingrid von Joe June and Mae hatte gefragt, ob nicht jemand einen Quilt mit lauter Brezeln ihres Entwurfs für sie nähen würde, sie hat das Bild davon schon im Kopf, ist aber so beschäftigt mit Schnittmuster entwerfen (Sie schreibt sogar ein Buch!), dass sie kaum zum nähen kommt. Und wie das so ist, man unterhält sich, kommt von diesem zu jenem und auf einmal war die Idee da.
After the donation quilt is before the donation quilt. Since Hexieparty is almost finished I can surely start thinking about the next project. This time the name came first: Brezel-Party. There will be another donation quilt with the help of lots of quilters, maybe you wanna join us?
This time it´s not just my fault, Ingrid from Joe June and Mae asked in general if somebody would be willing to sew a quilt from her pretzel pattern, she already knew how it should look, but hardly finds time to sew for inventing fpp patterns (she´s even writing a book!). And you know how it is if you´re chatting, suddenly there´s this idea and you start planning.

Da Ingrid und ich uns auf Instagram kennen gelernt haben, wurde daraus eine Aktion mit Gewinnspiel eben dort. Aber wir wollen ja niemanden benachteiligen, deswegen ist die Aktion natürlich auch für alle offen, die nicht bei Instagram sind.
Falls ihr mitmachen wollt holt euch das Brezel Schnittmuster von Ingrid ( 20% Rabatt für alle Teilnehmer mit Code BREZELPARTY). Näht eine 10 inch Brezel und schickt diese an mich (Adresse bitte per email bei rlebt@gmx.de anfragen.)
Um in den Lostopf zu hüpfen dürft ihr gerne Fotos von eurer fertigen Brezel mit dem hashtag #brezelparty2019 auf Instagram posten, oder an rlebt@gmx.de schicken, ich veröffentliche diese nur mit euren Vornamen dann für euch und schwupps, könntet ihr zwei Schnittmuster eurer Wahl von Joe June and Mae und
4 Fatquarter von Einfach bunt Quilts und
4 Fatquarter von der Quiltmanufaktur gewinnen.
Die Auslosung ist am 28.10.2019 um 12 Uhr.
Ich werde dann alle Brezeln zusammen nähen und den fertigen Quilt dürfen wir auf der Nadelwelt in Karlsruhe im Mai 2020 ausstellen. Danach wird er den Weserbergländer Herzen e.V. übergeben, damit diese ihn einem Kind eines SOS Kinderdorfes Deutschland schenken können.
Ihr könnt natürlich auch noch eine zweite Brezel machen für ein Tischset, einen Brotkorb, eine Tasche etc. oder eine dritte, vierte, fünfte …)
Since Ingrid an I met at Instagram, it started to be a campaign right there. But we don´t want to put a disadvantage on those who aren´t at Instagram, so we thought we´d open it for everybody.

Take a fun photo and post it along with #brezelparty2019 on Instagram or send it to rlebt@gmx.de and I´ll post it with your first name only there, and then send the finished pretzel block to me (please ask at rlebt@gmx.de for my snailmail address).

The draw will be October 28th 2019 at noon.
I will include your block in the #brezelparty2019 quilt. The finished quilt will be shown at the Nadelwelt Karlsruhe in May 2020, and will then be gifted to the Weserbergländer Herzen e.V. in lieu of a child from a German SOS Kinderdorf.
PS: You can also make a second pretzel block and turn it into a placemat, a breadbasket,or a shopping bag …..or make a third … or fourth…. )
