Wir sind im November 2015 angelangt…

diesmal gibt es einen Beitrag in der Rubrik rlebt.

Hat zwar auch mit dem nähen zu tun, dreht sich aber eher um die hardware. Eine neue Nähmaschine.

Eine große, gebrauchte, für mich neue, Nähmaschine. Die ich in Frankreich abholen wollte, die aber dann größer war als ausgeschrieben und leider doch nicht in unseren VW Bus passte.

Die dann netterweise von der Vorbesitzerin geliefert wurde. Erst stand der ganze Rahmen in unserer Garage, aber der angedachte Raum war schon ausgeräumt und mithilfe einer Freundin zog die Maschine dann ziemlich schnell dort ein.

 

 

We’ve reached November 2015….

and today I post about something I experienced.

It has something to do with sewing but rather with the hardware. A new sewing machine.

A big, used, for me new, sewing machine. Which I wanted to pick up in France, but it didn’t fit into our VW Bus because it was bigger than specified.

But the former owner kindly delievered it! First it stood in our garage, but because I already fixed the room where it was supposed to go, it went there pretty quickly with the help of a friend.

Sternstunde

Diesen Stern habe ich in einem Blog gesehen und wollte ihn unbedingt nachnähen. Da war ich nicht die einzige, zum Glück gab es schon diverse Anleitungen. Ich kenne ihn als Apostelstern.

Dann ist es nur noch Fleißarbeit.

Was tun mit zerrissenen oder aussortierten Jeans? Ganz klar, Taschen nähen!

Irgendwie finde ich die Tropfentaschen extrem nett, es passt viel mehr rein als frau sich vorstellt.

Noch ein Täschchen

Ich habe soviele „alte“ Sachen zu zeigen, das ich wahrscheinlich mit meinem Großprojekt fertig bin, bis ich aktuelle Sachen zeigen kann. Deswegen kommt hier gleich der nöchste Beitrag.

Ein Kosmtiktäschchen, das eine Freundin hier mit mir aus Resten genäht hat. Ganz besonders gefällt mir das dezente Band, das sie sich ausgesucht hat.

I’ve got so many „old“ things to post, that I am probably finished with my big project, before I can post about what I do right now. So here’s the next post right away.

It’s a vanity bag a friend sewed here with me from scraps. I especially like the ribbon she chose.

Endlich wirds Frühling

Ein Abschiedsquilt?

Die Lehrerin meiner Tochter plante ein Sabbatjahr als meine Tochter nach der 4. Klasse die Schule wechselte.

Weil ich zeitweise an der Schule mit den Kindern arbeite und die Lehrerin sehr schätzen lernte, habe ich ein halbes Jahr mit allen Kindern der Schule appliziert.

Das Ergebnis ist dieser Quilt, an dem auch die anderen Lehrerinnen und Atelierleiter/innen mitapplizierten.

Die Verteilung der Stoffe habe ich vorgegeben, die Kinder durften sich aussuchen, welche Formen sie mit welcher Garnfarbe applizieren. Es hat unheimlich viel Spaß gemacht den Kindern das nähen beizubringen und sie waren tatsächlich alle voll Engagement dabei! Die meisten sogar bis zum Schluß. 😀
A Farewellquilt?

My daughters teacher planned a sabbatical year as my daughter left school after 4 years with her. 

Because I work parttime at this school with the kids and learned to appriciate the teacher very much, I appliqued with all the kids for half a year.

The result is this quilt on which all the other teachers and workshop heads although appliqued a form.

I preset the way the fabrics played together and the kids choose the form and which colour yarn they used. It was a lot of fun to teach the children how to sew and all of them were fully dedicated. Most of them even until the end. 😀



Und weil es so viel Spaß gemacht hatte, habe ich mit den Schülern der Abschlußklasse nochmal appliziert, damit wir zum Quilt noch ein Kissen schenken konnten.

Es ist also nicht wirklich ein Abschieds Quilt, sondern eher ein Erinnerungsstück.
And because it was so much fun, I appliqued with the pupils from the graduation class some more, so we could gift a pillow with the Quilt.

So it’s not really a goodbye Quilt but more like something to remember.
